i’m not a picky shipper, i enjoy a whole smorgasbord of relationship dynamics, so that isn’t final. give me a good fic and you’ve won my heart.

however i do look for a level of dysfunction in every pairing. i know that may be an odd thing to judge ships by, but a teeny bit of unrequited interest and bad timing to me makes them more real, (as relationships are so infrequently just a happy life, a happy marriage and babies ever after) and therefore more meaningful. so i really like those empty sex fanfics, those tear-your-teeth-out frustrating blackroms, etc. etc. 

this is mostly just me here projecting my displeasure towards the average romance novel and my own experiences and cynicism SO
